Headline News

Today I looked at the headlines and saw several Bible prophecies splashed across the page.  No, it's likely that the writers of the headlines  are completely oblivious to the significance  of their words. But that makes them no less significant.

Syria uses chemical weapons against its own citizens, making Obama consider plans in light of national security. As Commander in Chief, he doesn't need approval from anyone to retaliate or make a pre-emptive strike. (God help us all!)

Syria and Russia say that if we get involved, the consequences will be serious. Syria goes on to add that their first target is Israel.  These people, unlike the United States, make threats AND KEEP THEM!

In Amos 9:15, God says: I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them," says the LORD your God.

Syria cannot win against Israel because God will fight for them. Is 17:1 goes on to state: A prophecy against Damascus: "See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.

The generation that saw the gathering together of the Jews in Palestine and the birth of the nation of Israel is rapidly drawing to a close. We could have another 20-25 years before the last of "us" go (I fall just 3 years short of that group of people.), but there is nothing that stands between this minute and the gathering together of Jesus' people before the world descends into the chaos of the Antichrist's reign.

I found this prophecy teacher, J.D. Farag, only a couple of weeks ago. He doesn't scream. He doesn't preach on an emotional level as some of these teachers are wont to do. He explains with Scripture how he sees the state of the world in light of what God said would happen.

If you are interested in Bible prophecy, and the headlines are making you wonder - look up for your redemption draws near.

Feast of Trumpets 2013

As I've mentioned before, I always pay a little more attention as the Feast of Trumpets approaches.

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first." 1 Thessalonians 4:16

This year, the feast is on September 5th.

Just saying.

Blood Moons in 2014 and 2015

lunar eclipse

There are four blood moons coming up on Jewish holidays in the next two years: 2014 and 2015 Passovers and Yom Kippurs.

This type of celestial event has only happened (I think) three or four times in history. Once it had to do with Columbus discovering America - a known haven for Jews - at about the same time that the Jews were kicked out of Spain and at the time of the Inquisition.

Another time was the end of the Holocaust and the start of the state of Israel.

The third time was around the 1967 Six-Days' War.

I don't completely understand the exact dates of the blood moons and the corresponding events listed above. I do know that lunar eclipses are considered to be a sign for Israel, that something always happens to, against, or for the Jews during these major signs.

I am curious to see what will happen this time around. I expect something big will happen soon.

Please feel free to check this out for yourself. I do not claim to be any kind of expert, just a gatherer of both facts and curiosities. Be ready. Stuff is happening.

God bless us all,

Names Changed to Protect the Guilty

A lady I love has been having issues with an outspoken difficult person. She emailed me her difficulties and I was inspired to give her this answer:

"The boys in the following story are grown, married, and have families now, so this happened sometime back and far away.

I knew someone just like the one you wrote me about. His name is Kurt. He had a horrible childhood and grew up tough. His wife is a sweet woman with the patience of a saint. She and I taught together in the same school. Her three boys each had a different learning difficulty and Kurt kept bringing street people in to live in their house while they straightened out their lives (usually one at a time). Kurt fixed most of them through his love for Jesus and his understanding of their situation in life. Seriously, I would not have put up with what Gina did.

But Kurt was just plain rude to me. I'm guessing he was rude to most people (except his family). Sometimes he said things to me that made me go home and weep. Then he started going to the church I was attending and there was no place to hide.

One Sunday morning, my sister and I walked into the church and there was Kurt. I said to him, "Hi, Kurt. How are you doing today?"

He answered, "Much better before I saw you."

Everyone in the room gasped at the same time and turned to look at me for my reaction. The pastor's wife, who is gentle and soft-spoken, asked me, "Are you going to let him get away with that?"

God gave me the grace to shrug and say, "It's only Kurt."

Everyone in the room visibly relaxed and Kurt was not ostracized, which he would have been if I had given a harsh word. The men in the church took to calling him "Kurt-eous", calling into being that which was not. lol

He did change some. Kurt will never have all of his rough edges smoothed off, but I don't think it would be good if he did. Who would reach the hurt people that he can touch? I don't have the make-up to do it, so I need to leave room in my heart and God's kingdom for the difficult people who love Jesus.

You must have a "Kurt" in your life somewhere and you love them anyway. Think of them when you think of your difficult person - and don't hang out in that place if he bothers you so much. Let him talk to people who are more like him.  He can do some good for those people."

Just thought I would share that and let you ponder what to do about the Kurts in your life.

God bless us all,
